Inspired by a Japanese example, the architects at Luchetti Krelle in Sydney incorporated large, custom-made sheets of Japanese washi paper in the design of a new restaurant in Queensland.

 

Mika worked with the washi maker in Echizen, Japan and Axolotl in Sydney to manage the design and production of the paper sheets and their installation between large panes of glass for backlighting.
